What We Do

For over 20 years David has worked on VFX Feature Films and Scripted Television as a VFX Producer and Supervisor. He has worked on both the vendor and client side of production and has extensive experience as a Set VFX Supervisor. Over the course of seven years he built Shade VFX from its infancy into a multi-million dollar a year operation with offices in Los Angeles and New York. In his roles as Executive Producer and later President of Shade VFX, he was responsible for client relations, recruiting and hiring staff, crew management and script breakdown/budget. As a result of his diversified experience, possesses a unique ability to breakdown the VFX structure of a script, execute the work, determine the costs of the project and organize the work to maximize crew productivity.    ​
