Dave Van Dyke
Founder / VFX Supervisor
Dave Van Dyke is the owner and VFX Supervisor at Van Dyke Visual Effects. His award-winning career has spanned over 25 years and more than 100 projects in motion pictures and television on some of Hollywood's most prestigious titles. Getting his start on Phil Tippett's miniature stage, Dave has gained a rich body of experience on both the filmmaker and vendor side of visual effects. His time at Tippett Studio catapulted him to new opportunities: working directly for Guillermo del Toro on his Revolution Studios classic Hellboy, winning an Emmy on HBO's John Adams, building and running his first successful VFX vendor as President of Shade VFX, and ultimately founding and leading his own VFX studio, Van Dyke Visual Effects.
Shane Strickman
Executive Producer / VFX Producer
Shane Strickman’s 20-year career in visual effects started in college at Chapman University making motion graphics for Richard Kelly’s Southland Tales. This opened doors for her and launched a successful career in visual effects production at Gradient FX, Entity FX, and Shade VFX where she teamed up with Dave Van Dyke. At Shade VFX she quickly rose to VFX Producer working on titles such as Twentieth Century Fox’s Wolverine and HBO’s Behind the Candelabra. Seeking new opportunities, she continued her ascent at Van Dyke Visual Effects, serving as the studio’s Executive Producer and Dave Van Dyke’s Overall VFX Producer for premium shows such as HBO’s Euphoria and Our Flag Means Death.
